Using our promotions chops to do good
Berlin is not just a group of promotion masters. We’re promotion masters with a conscience.
In 2009, we partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to raise awareness of the Light The Night Walk, a fundraising walk that takes place every autumn. The walk, like other LLS fundraising events, helps fund lifesaving cancer research and patient services.
Initially, Berlin developed a simple newspaper ad to promote the Light The Night Walks in New York’s Hudson Valley Region. But then we decided to put more skin in the game by forming our own walk team, Team Berlin. Since then, we’ve walked as a team every year.
As you might expect from an agency staffed with creative minds and strategists, Berlin is a workplace of people who are passionate about music. We decided to put this to work, as well, developing a concert to benefit LLS. We called the concert Rock for a Remedy.
Although we didn’t know it at the time, Rock for a Remedy would blossom into an annual event that, each year, would raise more money than the last. The talent lineups change a bit each year, but the mission remains the same: To spread awareness about LLS and the Light The Night Walk while rocking out, raising funds, and providing a fun evening for our clients, our vendors, our friends, our families, our community, and yes, ourselves.
